Xmas bimble

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by The Older Gentleman, Dec 24, 2005.

  1. Mild temperatures, bright sun, dry roads with no cack on them - I've
just been out on the XS650, delivering presents to brethren and sisteren
    and collecting same.

Rumbling through SW London on a nice big vertical twin, snapping the
throttle open hard down the A3 past Roehampton... If I don't ride a bike
again this year, that was as good a way to end 2005 as any.

I did my bimble yesterday, dry roads as well, which is the first time in
    weeks. Merry fun.

It's a far better than that shopping lark.

I went a run today too. From Dundee to Fort William by Glen Coe and
back by Dalwhinnie and the A9. First time on the CBR since I got the
GS in october. It felt like riding a minimoto.

Hmm.. Yesterday, I nearly hit some old bloke who walked out in the road,
locked up the front, got it back again, got shouty at him then went onto
cause a huge great big cloud of smoke on the A27 coz the exhaust I
    bought was full on oil.

    Lovely.

    : I make that around 300 miles?

    Nearer 260 I think.

    : In this weather?

    It was quite 'refreshing'.

    : Quite a bimble!

Well if I'm going to put all the gear on I might as make it worth while.
