XS650 restoration

Oh boy do I need help.....
I recently picked up an1977 XS650D rolling chassis + boxes and boxes of
parts.
I have almost finished the restoration but have hit a bit of a hurdle
regarding a few stray wires that need a home.
Not being at all familiar with this model, I'm wondering if there a fellow
kind XS owner out there who could answer a few questions?

I have checked the wiring diagram in the manual as well but the lady I got
the bike from had 10 tonnes of assorted bike crap in the boxes and it's hard
to know which stuff is for the XS and which isn't.
I have most of it sorted out but just have a few questions regarding the
positioning of a few wires.

There is plenty of info on the wiring for the XS online. Start with the
XS650 club of Aus.
