Hello,\n\nI'm in the middle of my first valve adjustment on a '99 VStar 1100\nCustom. Have a question about when the rear cylinder is really at TDC\non the compression stroke. The service manual says to look for "T|"\nin the window, however what I have marked on the rotor is really "|T\n|F|". By the time I see "T", the vertical "|" to its right has\nalready rotated out of view. Anybody know if the manual is right in\nwhat it's saying, or do they really mean "|T", not "T|", because I\ndon't have "T|" side by side? Another thing I noticed is that when\nthe vertical bar is perfectly lined up with the notch in the window,\nthe hole in the sprocket and the notch on the cylinder head body\naren't really lined up. Which one should I be paying more attention\nto, the sprocket or the bar in the plug hole?\n\nThanks!
