    Hey all,

No, it's not the title of a DVD I've just watched... [1]

Yesterday late afternoon I picked up the bike from MMT in Granville (18k
service) and rode home to N. Ryde via Parra Rd, Silverwater, Victoria, Ryde
etc. For some bizarre reason I quite like riding in such conditions - more
challenging and maybe it's something kinky to do with the whole cold wet
    crutch thing... ;-|

I've just replaced my visor and the new one doesn't have the anti-fog thingy
attached. It was raining pretty hard/heavy traffic and every time I stopped
after s-l-o-w bits a huge amount of steam would rise from the donk, enough
to hide me in it. Engine temp was close to 100 other than on the rare
faster bits. Of course this caused serious fogging of sunnies + visor,
    adding to the challenge considerably.

I can't remember my bike creating so much steam and regardless of the no
anti-fog thing I would have been stuffed anyway. So what's the strategy?
I've done a lot of rain hours but not so many in standstill traffic, at
least on the XX (steam machine).

    Cheers,

BTW, MMT are superb (thanks Cam) IMHO. Craig and the guys are extremely
passionate, experienced and expert at their craft. The bike always feels
new after leaving there and at a fraction of the cost charged by Sydney City
(where I bought the thing). It's almost worth the life risk catching a
train to Stratfield (where grown men happily pick their noses on a crowded
platform), changing and going to Granville... (where there are announcements
on the platform all the time: "please report any unattended baggage
immediately to security staff...", "mothers, please ensure that you keep
your prams close to you at all times", "walk along the platform in a zig-zag
pattern to reduce the risk of being shot..." etc.). Sorry - couldn't
    resist... :)

    [1]...that was "Big-Titted Mommas"... :)

I got a pair (two pairs actually) of industrial safety
glasses (plastics?) from that place about 600m west of
flemington markets on the left. circa $8.00 a pair, one
clear for night time, one mirror/tinted for perv^H^H^H^H
day time. I've been riding around with the visor up for
the most part of the last few months. Steam free.

The beautiful thing about $8.00 sunnies is that no matter
how many times you drop them, run over them, sit on them
or try to lose them, they'll be just as shiny and sparkling
new as the day you got them...

Buy a $250+ pair of serengeti's and you'll write them
    off on day one!
