Yam SR 125 question

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Spinning Spanners, Mar 5, 2010.

  1. So the Yummy Mummy down the road fancies one to take her test on, so
went out with her to check one over. When checking the exhaust there
was a blow from the underneath by the rear brake pedal. On closer
inspection it was a small round hole[1] that almost looked like it had
been drilled, but not knowing had to assume it was a leak. Anyone had
one and know if it's some sort of drain, and something else is leaking
inside, or has some spotty oik drilled it to make the bike sound
    "better"? Just wear and tear?

Oh the chain was knackered after 14k, and had various damage, so for
the price being asked we walked.

Keeping my eye out for another for her £800 - £900 in the SE.

    Cheers

[1] very round, with no other damage / rust etc to be seen in the area

  10. God no, I'd buy a £500 CG and flog it the day I passed, but that's
what she wants, and is willing to spend on a minter (Advert we saw was
crafterly worded in retrospect). I think she'll end up getting a
£600er off ebay but we'll see.

    cheers
