    Hiya all,

I've wanted a DT, of some flavour without being too fussy, for a long while
and now my 12 year old fancies Motocross rather than Trials we've took a
small plunge and bought the following heap .. er ... cheap DT 125, to sit
alongside a Fantic 125 Trials bike we now have.

    4577787608

Having got it home and had a quick look it's OK ish. Engine seems sweet as
a nut and sounds wonderful with no ringings or grindings, (after my Trials
Beamish and Beta) but there are some issues with the rest of it. Fork seals
are shot, clutch and front brake cables need replacing, indeed the levers do
too, really, and I also need to source some passenger footpegs for it,
anyone have any, cheap FOC, as well as sprockets etc ;) I might also need a
new wiring loom as the existing 'thing' looks chopped about, indeed there is
no ignition switch, just a kill switch. The forks are twisted in the yokes
slightly, but that's relatively easy to solve. I'd also want, if possible,
a spare set of wheels so I can have a set of trail tyres (road legal) and a
set of MX tyres for when we're at the track or for when we take it in the
    Landrover to the track.

What I also really want {1] is some kind of manual, parts list etc that I
can use to refer to when I order or want to order bits for it, so I'd be
obliged if anyone could point me to a source, preferably free or on-line, as
well as sources for older Yamaha DT LC bits and pieces.

Our intention is to have it roadworthy and fully legal so I can take the 12
year old or his smaller bro to a local motocross park to learn to ride, and
we reckon this will be great, a bit like Motocross without the brute power,
IYSWIM. We're intending to make a set of lights up that are detachable or
as small as possible so it doesn't hinder it's off-road aspirations.

So if anyone has a cheap, free, ratty, tatty NOS etc bits for a DT125LC 1984
flavour, then I might be interested in buying them.

[1] The actual point of starting this thread ... ;)
