  3. Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw:

"Please excuse my driving, I'm just reloading."

Saw a bumper sticker for the NRA on a pickup (what else?) when I was in
    Alabama:
"The only way you'll take my gun is from my cold, dead fingers".
Not too big on gun control in the Southern States, the merkins.

    That's the NRA in general.

Q: How do you tell if someone from Alabama is married?

A: Tobacco stains on both sides of the pickup.

Ain't that the truth. Amazing place. A real eye opener for me.
Typical street layout in Alabama town: Church/Gunshop/church/fast food
    joint/church/gunshop/7eleven/church...........

I dunno. I was in Huntsville, and the centre of town seemed to consist
almost entirely of lawyers and bail bond offices.

We were based in Hunstville on that trip. It was a bit more of a 'rural'
location where I saw all of the churches/gunshops etc.
All I could see from my hotel bedroom window was rockets. Lots and lots of
    *FO*rockets. Saturn5/Shuttle/Minuteman etc.

The Marriot where we stayed shares a carpark with it.
Yup. I'd love to have seen/heard/felt one lift off.

Heh, yeah, the Space and Rocket Centre.

We were on a corporate event, and had a barbecue/party under this:

Speaking of which, what do we think of Phoenix's chances of a nice soft
    touch-down on Mars?

Given the track record to date, I can't help thinking there'll soon be
another crater on the red planet.

    Prace bets... NOW!

Look at the map, junk everywhere. NASA ought to be done for littering.

**** me. Looks (at this point) like they made it.

I'm really glad to be wrong!

    *Excellent*

  17. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique,
Christ, no. Given the number of things that *could* have gone wrong,
it's a stunning piece of work. I'd love to be involved in something like
    that.

Entertaining to see the whining masses were being given publicity last
night on the Beeb: "Do you know how many starving orphans you could feed
    for that?". Cunts.

If you feed the orphans, they'll only make more.

  19. Indeed. By the time the signal gets here it's equivalent to a gnat
farting in a spacesuit several galaxies away. Or something.

    Only for an idiot.

There have been charities to help "the poor" for fucking centuries.

We're now told there are more poor than ever.

Stands to reason said charities must be pretty poor value for money.
    Ug.
