670 Kilometres from Canberra, just a leisurely afternoons ride, 960 from
Brisbane and likely to take the whole day.

    Congrats not-so-unco Betty!

Does that mean the lifting of any restrictions regarding bike-size or speed
limits in the ACT or when you travel?

In the ACT L-platers can ride at the posted speed limit. In NSW they're
restricted to 80. Now I can ride in NSW at the posted speed limit -
yippeeeee! Still not allowed to ride a bike with a power to weight ratio of
150 or over for 12 months, so still need a learner-legal bike. Other no-nos
are - no sidecar, no pillion, no grog (well, no more than .02).

I suppose you blokes will have to do my drinking for me for a while
    <snigger>

betty, handing out beers. Johno???? oh, JOHNO!!!!!

Hmm, that's a lots of kms in a day.... <thinking>... and then the same
number to go home the following day... Ouch, bet you'd get a sore bum from
    all that.

It's tempting though! Will see how my bum feels after the Thursday ride to
Kangaroo Valley/Batemans Bay. Hey, any other Canberra region ausmotians want
to have a day off on Nov 2nd for that one?

    Congrats!!

Bit different from my test at the local country cop shop many years ago.
It was raining at the time & the testing officer seemed surprised I turned
    up under those conditions.
Muttered that If I was mad enough to ride in that weather then he wasn't
going to get wet as well.
Instructed me to ride halfway up a nearby hill, stop, then do a u-turn &
return while he went back in for a cuppa. Test completed successfully lol.

  20. If you get a sore bum, you're doing it wrong - apparently.
