  1. Finally got my K7 GSX-R 1000 auction job finished and rego'd. It's been
a bit of a mission with getting parts. But it is finally done. Been
riding it today. I keep thinking to myself that half the people that
buy these things must kill themselves on them. It does 150km/h in first
(on a private road of course). Couldn't be happier. Just need to start
getting ridding of some of the projects now. It kinda makes up for my
last auction buy which was a V-Strom with what turned out to be a seized
motor. Looks like it might be a parts bike.

  3. Further testing on a private road has revealed 165 in first. After
riding it all day I have to say it is bloody insane. Power wheelies in
3rd gear at 145 are mental. Best thing is you can drive it gently and
it is fairly quiet and comfortable. It is slightly hot sitting in
traffic. I'm definitely far more suited to it than the Daytona. So it
looks like the Triumph is going. Tomorrow I finish the K4 and stick it
over the pits so it looks like I may be rid of another bike pretty soon
too. Which is great because my backyard currently looks like a Suzuki
    dealership.

Surely you could go from 0km/h to 165km/h and back to 0km/h in under
    400m on a GSXR1000?

    Not me, but others may.

Checking the length of the driveway..... hmm, 80 metres of gravel may
    not work.
