Year in Review

My PDA just popped up a reminder than one year ago tomorrow I will
have passed my CBT. I had never sat on anything on two wheels with a
motor before. It is also the same date as my first UKRM anniversary.

Notable dates:

24th January - Sell car as it was utter shit.
29th January - Pass CBT
29th January - First post to UKRM:

4th February - Half day 125 training
8th February - Half day 125 training
14th - 16th February - A2 riding course
18th February - A2 riding course & test - FAIL
18th February - Bought 33bhp restricted ER-5 anyway

8th March - A2 riding course and test - PASS

9th - 10th April - BoSM
15th April - Threw ER-5 down A20 on return journey from work.
Ambulance, spinal board and blue light job. <sigh>

16th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 23rd, 25th, 27th April, 3rd, 6th, 13th, 15th,
20th, 23rd, 27th May - visits to hospital, doctor, skin specialist and
plastic surgeon to have arm beaten back into shape.

29th - 31st July - Welsh Bimble with Wessie

17th - 18th September - EoSM
20th September - Half day course and full Class-A DSA motorcycle test
- PASS

Those are the highlights of my past year. Thanks to everyone that has
contributed to it, given me advice and thrown spanners at my bike far
beyond the call of all reasonable duty.

It was cold, wet, windy and I slept in a tent for the first/last time.
It was one of the worst days of my entire life. I don't know why I

I've done that only once, because (IIRC) Blaney and Statto were stopping
here. I camped at the last two.

I do usually take the car though, as it's less hassle to chuck things in
the boot and drive for 15 mins than it is to spend that long working out
how to tie things on.

Man used to live in forests, caves and under thin shelters. Then man
made houses, windows, electricity, TV, central heating, water beds,
electricity and coffee machines. I stayed at a lovely B&B at EoSM
(although I did have to ford a stream to get in and out) that featured
all of these things. I don't camp.
