  2. : Doubt that texas will ever get the population density where lane splitting
: will get accepted. Texas has a good highway system and plenty of open space
: unlike SF, LA or SD. Interesting that the spokesman said that bikers are at
: a danger in a line of autos. He was exactly correct. Most bikes are air
: cooled and heat up and a major accident once caused me problems from
: overheating. Plus bikers can get nausiated from fumes. I see where TMRA
: (and others) are opposed to the toll turnpike. Do you supposed if the gov
: promoted it as a german autobahn with no speedlimits that it might get
    : biker approval?

Beemer, come by Austin some time on I35 between 4 and 6 PM. You'll be
ready to split. Of course, if they make the bypass they're building free
and put tolls on I35, it will relieve some of the pressure.

: Anyway, another take on lane splitting
    :
: Note the larger bikes with hard bags seem content to wait in line.

Pussies. Anybody can split on a skinny sportbike. Real men do it on
    Electraglides.

    Right, Wakko?
