    proud owner of CBR1100XX Blacky... picking it up on Saturday. the
    problem is, now I have to clear a space in the garage for it !

    grin ;) I reckon it'll be ok on the motorway. One thing, the seller
    reckons he put a new chain on about 2.5k ago but it's in the 'red' zone
    on the adjuster ( although still some adjustment left ) How many links
    should there be or is it time to replace it?

    Yeah, well the thing with top-boxes, as much as they're derided, they
    are bloody useful and mean the bike can be used in preference to a car
    more often. I've never carried a sewing machine in mine though.
