You know I recently bought a lovely shiny SV650...

    Well it's fucked now.

Braking moderately hard for a line of slowing traffic and didn't spot
the manhole cover that appeared from under the car in front's
bumper...and we all know how little traction they give you. All my
fault, no-one else could be to blame really.

Result is the front nose fairing, headlight, fairing lowers and Scorpion
can are trashed, along with all the little bits like both brake levers,
bar end etc. Good old Auntie Carole's lads recovered me and the bike to
my favoured bike shop and my claim is being dealt with.

I'm not too worried about the bike because I know it'll be rebuilt to my
satisfaction by Flitwick Motorcycles, I'm just thankful I walked away
totally unhurt and with just a small scuff on my Arai's visor.

Well you are well that's the main thing.

A nice ABS equipped bike for you then! it's a perfect example of where it
    works.

  5. Lack of forward observation then and you lived which means you weren't
speeding. I expect you will have an excuse.

Must be an SV 650 thing Loz. My mate has come off his 5 times, (in two
years) and four of them were as a result of losing the front end at stupidly
slow speeds. I kept telling him to keep off the front brake at walking speed
in the wet, but he kept not listening and I kept on repairing his SV. It's
been a full 7 months since he last binned it, so maybe he's learned:)

Those cheap shit back brake pedals bend well before they snap though, I have
    to say that.

No, mine broke. The foot pedal bit is now a key ring pendant for my car
    keys.

Tell your mate to fit R+G crash bungs to keep the rad from getting
    whacked.
