    You get given a laptop to 'fix' and can't get it to charge with the
    Merkin adapter supplied when plugged into a one amp shaver plug but
    instead of changing the fuse to a higher rated one you drill a hole in
    the plug you just stick a screwdriver where the fuse should be
    instead, and then stick it in the wall.

    Works perfectly, BTW. It may be a bit of a hazard to everyone around
    it, however.
