Even if I could afford the two strong men to follow me about to put me
onto and off of a monsterous GS, I don't think I'd bother. ;-)
Well, I'd rather like a VFR800, non-VTEC but shaft drive.
    Let me think about this.
Street-fightered Cagiva Mito, fitted with RZ250/350 motor, and maybe a
Z50 with a Suzi(?) 100cc twin cylinder, two-stroke motor fitted.

I've thought about the diesel cruiser....
    Clem, you are seriously weird!

    regards,

    Museum!

  4. surely you've seen this:

it might be a better place to start than a Mito if you're after the
    streetfighter look?
    Word!

I inspected 3 more bikes today but declined them all some more to bid on
next week, I am always thinking what now (takes my mind off work).

I bid on a MV Augusta 750 the other day but the owner was insulted with my
offer of $15,000 on a asking price of $17,995 he started crapping on about
it being "Classic" what a load of crap, I had a loan of one for 3 days, nice
    bike but Classic no way.

    I would like a

*Ducati 996 or 998 (not fussy which one, just like the styling)
    *MV Agusta F4
    *Benelli Tornado
    *Britten

And I'd keep the VTR. Love that bike.

  7. An R100GS/PD with the gearbox and drive shaft sorted, twinplugged too.

    An XTZ750 Super Tenere

    A 1970s Yamaha TY250

TDM850 fitted with a Toro sidecar

    Krauser Domani

A Yellow Valkyrie with a yellow HRD Classic sidecar

Ariel Square Four/Vincent Rapide series D with a Swallow sidecar

    Another VTR1000F

    '96 Triumph Speed Triple

No show ponies to sit on plinths and admire, all would be ridden. Show
pieces to look at are a waste of time IMO. A bit like Clem, I cant think of
any current/exotic bike that would tempt me in the slightest, though I can
remeber a red/black R1 just glowing under s treetlight at Katoomba; that got
to me just looking at it.

    I'll have two please.

I was down at the Freemantle auto museum the other day and they have one in
there that has been 'restored' It's a bit lairy looking with it's tassels
and ape hanger bars but still a nice unit. They also have a number of other
interesting bikes that, for some unknown reason, they don't feature them on
    their website ...... go figure.

I take the Kombi Camper to young Lib meetings, never know when you might
meet a raver and its best to be prepared.

They were at best a very average ride (square 4) and didn't stop worth
shite , took huge effort to start and if you had the mag model you
either got a muscular leg and superhuman ability to start it or the knee
crapped out , I would much prefer the 500 velocete , shite loads better
bike or 2nd choice maybe a 650 Enfield or a BSA lightening although I
really used to enjoy the Enfield 500 once it was started , that thump
thump thump on avgas was wonderfulHMR twin was ok but the frames flex a lot when pushed.

I only mention it because my only chance of ever riding one went out
the window when my uncle sold his for $100 sometime in the 1970s.

Just because you've had it under a tarp in the backyard for 5 years is
no reason to get rid of a bike, honestly! :-/

    John we were joking!

Take it from me the last place any sane person would want to be is a young
Liberal meeting (or Young Labor, National etc).
