Hint: If you can't see what's making it come out of the tap (i.e. it
isn't being 'pulled') it's going to be crap.

Try some Adnams SSB, an IPA, or Spitfire. No, really. You'll be surprised.
In fact: Champ, Go an source yourself one of the above the next time you
get the opportunity. If you don't like it, I'll paypal you whatever it cost.

The bitterness comes from the hops, and hops are used in both lager
and bitter. So I can only assume you don't like lager either?

    wisdom:
You're talking to the wrong person. I've tried all of those and like
them very much. I will drink cheap "continental" lager but only as a
    poor second choice.
Anything from the Wychwood brewery is well worth drinking, too.

I can - unfortunately - just imagine what this sort of caff would be
like with fatty bacon rolls, overly-milky tea, and some fat bird's
mankey old crusty leather trousers sitting steaming on a radiator.

To be honest, not massively, no. But it's quite thirst quenching when
    it's cold.

I won't. My real ale drinking mates have tried to persuade me that it
tastes nice quite a few times over the years.
Why don't you just send me the money, and save me the trouble of going
    down the pub.

There's a whole lot more to Jessie than her willingness to eat roadside
caff burgers. She's clever, has a great outlook on life, has excellent
music tastes and is pretty too. I couldn't have wished for better kids.

Remember, kids, you're not a "real biker" if you have a job/another
mode of transport/a liking for music other than heavy metal.

Just up the road from me - I keep meaning to go and do the brewery tour.

Personally I prefer their organic beer (Circle Master or something like
that) to Hobgoblin. They do have a summer one out at the moment (White Which
or some such) which wasn't bad.

The one they did at Christmas though (about 8%!) was lovely...

And this from a person who doesn't normally drink beer.

Lots and lots of people are - it's (relatively) cheap, commutable to London
or Bristol, near the countryside, not in the north etc etc.

I don't know about Swindon, but that other carbuncle of the West, Didcot
(where I am, of course) has seen house prices go up over 20% in the two
    years I've been there.

Soon to crash though once they start building the 6000 odd new homes the
council/government/god knows have decided is needed.
