I know a good passport expeditor in DC, if you want his details.
He'll have the passport in three days.

Arrr, that I did. See, as I was in the vicinity of Plymouth (Olde Englande -
near Kernow) port early of a forenoon, I did procure such a bun or 'sub' .
Tis only my opinion but if you add the first two letters of the first and
fourth words in this account you can find what it tasted like.

    Best of Luck - Mike

As a road test for the MX5 said years ago - "if you find yourself on
the motorway, you've either taken the wrong car or the wrong turning".

Me too. I gave up on going to Cornwall at the last minute as the
weather report was so shit and hopped a boat to France. It was still
very cloudy, but I cahsed a patch of blue sky on the 9R and got a
    great view.

Tis true - you don't find many hairdressing salons on motorways.

I rode all the way from Oxford to Plymouth looking for clear sky and
just caught it through gaps in rainclouds.

I ended up somewhere south of Laon, IIRC. Following the breaks in the
cloud around on the ST. As the piccies show, there were still some
clouds around, but I managed a clear enough view to get some decent
shots, including the "Bailey's beads" in
    http://acenet.ifrance.com/eclipse/bwr14a.jpg

One of these days I'll get round to re-scanning them all at a decent
    resolution...

It'll happen. I was surprised to find a Marks and Sparks at Reading
Services. I can almost see a hairdresser's actually working in some
places - near large cities, catering mostly for businessmen on their way
    to meetings.

At the appropriate time, I hopped on the GSX550, trundled home from work and
did the projection thing with a pair of binoculars for the family. Bright
and cloudy, with plenty of gaps to produce clear images of the astronomical
    action.
