    I didn't hate the ZZRs I had. If I had then I wouldn't have bought 3 of
    them all told.

ZZrs are immensly capable bikes and perfect for fast sports touring. I
don't need a bike that fast any more, I never really did, but I need a
mile muncher that's fun as well. There aren't any good VFR750s left, I
hate the VFR800i with its shite brakes and boring grandad image, so that
leaves the Triumph RS and ST. RSs are cheaper by a grand for what is
virtually the same bike as an ST with a half fairng.

I don't tend to give a shit about fuel consumption, tyre wear and other
running costs. It's the bike's residual value that bothers me more.

Oh, I see what you mean. Actually, there's still the occasional
hardly-any-miles-from-new one on ebay so it's worth keeping an eye out for
    them.

rode a mates while in the USA in July - 250 miles/day - no problem.

well except it does get quite hot with those exhausts - probably ok in
the winter though. Not when its 104 ambient.

I keep a close eye on the fuel economy of my vehicles... back a while ago my
Honda was getting mid 20 mpg, so I knew it wasn't in the right state of
tune. Once repaired, it achieved mid 40 mpg. My beemer also gets mid 40s,
even when flogged. Compare that to my truck, with 16 mpg, and it's no
    contest.

  14. He absolutely hates them. He has a black book with every fault that has
ever arisen on a BMW recorded in it.
