Thinking of getting rid of the GPZ for one of the above. The reviews on the
web seem good but thought I'd ask any previous owners on here for their
    thoughts.

Brilliant bikes, if the price is right.

They seem to go for around £3500 to £4000 at the dealers depending on
    condition.

Try and blag a test ride, you will not be disappointed. They feel more like
    a 750.

You've obviously decided you want one so just find one you want at a
price you're willing to pay and buy the fucker. It's not difficult.

I don't think any of the regular posters here own a 636 so unless a
lurker pops up claiming to own one you'll have to rely on magazine
tests. My only experience of one was when PB entered it in a 6 hour
race and it was fucking fast.

The 600 Daytona had the worst fuelling of any bike I've ridden in recent
times. Jerky and snatchy is the only way to describe it, and I rode a
later one with the improved mapping. I found the CBR600 the best of the
    600 bunch as an allrounder.

It's not good, that's true. But apparently it is significantly better
than the TT600. The problem appears to be that they are all different,
so some are better than others and none have the same solution to rough
running problems. (swap exhaust, remap, fir power commander) However,
once it is running between 8 and 14, it rocks (IMHO).
It would mostly make an intolerable commuter. But it handles well enough.
I don't know why Triumph don't just get some Japs in to sort it out.

I got a A1p last nov, I absolutley love it. Its bloody quick (well for
inexperienced me), My mates cbr600rr doesnt keep up. Its comfy as i have
back trouble and its never caused me any discomfort. Im not ashamed to
say I paid top dollar for mine. A red&black march03 model and I never
    plan to sell her.

Took one our for a test yesterday and was most impressed. Could only compare
against my GPZ (Not a good comparison I know) and if fucking rocked. Just
got to try and find one at the right price and colour. Thanks for all your
    comments.
