SO I bought the ZX6r 636, Rode it back from Thirsk N Yorkshire to Newcastle, lovely ride. However went to mates to show it off, she wouldnt go into neutral. I rocked it back and forward no luck , tapped gears up and down no luck, it wouldnt start with clutch pulled. Eventually after more rocking a light tap on gear knocked it into neutral. Anyone any ideas or is this standard new biker type crappy errors? -- ______________________________________________ Ken ZX636 ninja *Remove knickers to mail me ______________________________________________
Bring it round here and I'll swap it for a ZX-6R with a working gearbox. No charge. -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Kawasaki ZX-6R J1, Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, DS#5, COSOC# Suspended, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie twat.

You could try being a bit more gentle. But seriously, loads of WD40 round the gear linkage pivot might help.
That's almost tempting. Unfortunately you use of "u" for "you" and "ill" for "I'll" means that I'm about to nip out and torch your Punto, ZX-636, house, wife, kids, etc. I'm sure you understand. No hard feelings, eh? -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Kawasaki ZX-6R J1, Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, DS#5, COSOC# Suspended, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie twat.
That's _way_ better than mine. -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Kawasaki ZX-6R J1, Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, DS#5, COSOC# Suspended, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie twat.
Not at all. but touch the bike and you're toast! sorry YOU ARE Toast! -- ______________________________________________ Ken ZX636 ninja *Remove knickers to mail me ______________________________________________
Gentle! hmm, the Oxtar waterproof boots don't seem conducive to gentleness, as is my too big a frame. Advice gratefully received thank you, i shall endeavor to use ballet dancer type touches, and see if it is ok. -- ______________________________________________ Ken ZX636 ninja *Remove knickers to mail me ______________________________________________
It's not the old "Positive Neutral Finder" on a Kwak gearbox is it? Possibly coupled with a fucked clutch lever sensor. Get it into first, then try changing up and it should drop into neutral. If that doesn't work, take off and nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
How does that work? I can understand him becoming steak, as that's flesh based and would simply require a sharp knife and some flash frying. How on earth you think it's possible to turn someone into a grilled wheat based snack without some seriously fucked up alchemy is beyond me.
Frayed knot, but I'm sure you'll manage to have fun anyway. -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Kawasaki ZX-6R J1, Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, DS#5, COSOC# Suspended, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie twat.
Could do, I'm a graduate of the Paul Carmichael school of photography so I could promise you some cracking photos, including; people you don't know standing round the paddock, something that might be you on a bike in the far distance, the pit-lane wall, a shot of the start/finish straight 5 seconds after your group has gone by and a dramatic bike crash (obscured by better photographer standing in front of me). Bugger that. Kick it in seems to be the way with the Kwak box. If I had to kick the Honda (CBR, not CBN into gear, it meant it was time for an oil change ... Smoooooth. Paul.
