yesterday, came home from work rode up the driveway as normal people do. put the sidestand down and it touched the ground well before it was meant to. I had been to the shop and bought 4 litres of milk btw and thought somethings not right here it cant be the milk, it aint THAT heavy. It wasn`t. looks like I have an expensive bill now thatnks to my swing arm bearings beaing rooted. I thought it may have been the shock, but then realised that if it were, then, I would have had a bouncy ride. when i got the bike up onto the centre stand the rear wheel was right up under the guard. oh well I know what i`ll be doing this weekend. oh and FYI the price for the bearings is gunna be $547 shit -- Cheers, Dave 1990 ZZR 600 d1 1991 EB Falcon wagon 1969 ZC Fairlane ( I used to be indecisive, but now I`m not so sure) admin@loopback $LOGIN@localhost $LOGNAME@localhost $USER@localhost $USER@$HOST -h1024@localhost
I hope you have a good press!!! Having just done all the suspension bearings on the ZX10, it's a bitch of a job.
its not the bearings, it WAS the shock. got a mate who has a 2nd hand zzr 600 and hes willing to part with the part i need and i will finally be getting the front guard! only taken me a full year to get!!! lol -- Cheers, Dave 1990 ZZR 600 d1 1991 EB Falcon wagon 1969 ZC Fairlane ( I used to be indecisive, but now I`m not so sure) admin@loopback $LOGIN@localhost $LOGNAME@localhost $USER@localhost $USER@$HOST -h1024@localhost

THATS what i thought, apparently it has something to do with the rebound system, it might be the rubber seal thats at the top of the shaft sealing the extend and compress ports. if the seal has left the shaft then it would compress easily but not open ( apparently) -- Cheers, Dave 1990 ZZR 600 d1 1991 EB Falcon wagon 1969 ZC Fairlane ( I used to be indecisive, but now I`m not so sure) admin@loopback $LOGIN@localhost $LOGNAME@localhost $USER@localhost $USER@$HOST -h1024@localhost
it didnt pogo-stick at all. it just went bang and stuck shut. i`ve been told its not common but does happen -- Cheers, Dave 1990 ZZR 600 d1 1991 EB Falcon wagon 1969 ZC Fairlane ( I used to be indecisive, but now I`m not so sure) admin@loopback $LOGIN@localhost $LOGNAME@localhost $USER@localhost $USER@$HOST -h1024@localhost
well i`m looking at the other ZZ-R tomorrow at lunch, reckon i might just take the whole bike for spares i may or may not need later -- Cheers, Dave 1990 ZZR 600 d1 1991 EB Falcon wagon 1969 ZC Fairlane ( I used to be indecisive, but now I`m not so sure) admin@loopback $LOGIN@localhost $LOGNAME@localhost $USER@localhost $USER@$HOST -h1024@localhost
Hell if it's cheap, then why the hell not. Could help you later on, or it could just rot in the corner of ya shed until you get rid of the ZZR Mike.S
