    Hi Guys and Gals

I'm looking at a ZZR600, 1990 with 6 months MOT and Tax, cracked fairing and
needs a new indicator (so dropped), 20k miles.
He's after an offer around £500, should I snap his hand off or wander away
    muttering?

Ta for any advice. Hopefully I'm off to haave a look at it on Monday.

I'd say that the key thing is the damage. Is the fairing repairable? Is
anything important bent? (Frame, headstock, forks, bars.)

    Yep what the man sez.

IF the cracked fairing and indicator are the only problems its a steal and
you should take a section of his arm along with the hand. IF.

At that price you can tape up the crack with gaffa tape and still sell it
for half as much again....... If its as stated.

Your real risk is has the frame twisted when the fairing and indicator were
taken out? If you're not up to checking that yourself (and for sure if its
not major I reckon few folk would spot a twist) the history of when the drop
happened and subsequent mot's *might* give an indication at least whether
the testers are happy. If its not been tested since the drop maybe you can
make either a frame check or a new mot a condition of sale?

I've not owned one but IRC zzr600s original back shock's are said to be dead
by 10k miles so that's an obvious check to emphasise as part of your routine
    check everything overview.

Why would it bother them? AFAIR its not a testable item per se.

If the bike passes on wheel alignment and assessment of corrosion then
the frame can look like what it wants to.
